Flavells to mark 50th anniversary at family dinner

XFINDLAY -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Flavell, 1539 Brookside Drive, will be celebrated Nov. 29 when family members gather for a dinner party at Woody's Restaurant in Upper Sandusky.
Hosts for the festivities will be the couple's children, Linda Shelburne of Crestwood, Ky.; Tom Flavell of Melbourne, Fla.; and Paul Flavell of Findlay. Also participating will be the couple's four grandchildren.
Good Hope Lutheran Church in Youngstown was the setting Nov. 29, 1952, as the former Leila Griffith and Mr. Flavell were united in marriage. The couple are members of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Prior to retiring, Mrs. Flavell was a registered nurse at Blanchard Valley Hospital.
Mr. Flavell, who also is retired, served as sales manager at Michael's Art Bronze.
