XNEW YORK -- Romantica Yacht, anchored at Lincoln Pier, was chartered for the 5:30 p.m. Oct. 19 wedding of Allison Ruggles and Tom McCauley, both of 14525 N.E. Sixth Place, Bellevue, Wash.
The marriage was solemnized by Judge Alexander Platt, and a reception followed during a cruise around New York City.
The daughter of David and Myrna Ruggles, 7703 Hunters Court, Boardman, and the groom, a son of Louis and Virginia McCauley of Bayonne, N.J., honeymooned at Playa del Carmen in Mexico and live in Bellevue.
The bride created her wedding ensemble. It featured a schiffli lace jacket embellished with Swarovski crystals and worn over a gown fashioned with lace-covered corset and a silk and lace A-line skirt.
Purple gowns and black wraps were worn by the honor attendant, Elizabeth Filippatos, and the bridesmaid, Heather Dickson, cousins of the bride.
The groom's brother, Pete McCauley, was best man, and groomsman was Neil Chirichella. The bride's brother, Jon Ruggles, ushered guests.
The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in economics and a master's in history. She is a technical account manager in the mobile devices division of Microsoft Corp. in Redmond, Wash.
The groom, a complex-litigation paralegal with Keller Rohrback Law Firm in Seattle, graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology and from the University of North Texas in Dallas.
