Little change predictedin employment in area
WARREN -- Not much change is expected in the area's employment this winter, says a survey by Manpower, a temporary services company.
For January through March, 80 percent of employers responding to the survey said they expected no change in employment. Seven percent predicted cutbacks, and 13 percent expected to hire.
Job prospects are best in services and in finance, insurance and real estate. Cutbacks are seen in durable goods manufacturing and wholesale and retail trade.
At this time last year, 13 percent of employers expected to add workers, and 17 percent planned reductions.
