CLEVELAND INDIANS--Purchased the minor league contracts of OF Jody Gerut, RHP Fernando Cabrera, OF Ryan Church, INF Jhonny Peralta and RHP Francisco Cruceta and added them to their 40-man roster. Sent RHP Jack Cressend outright to Buffalo of the IL. Released C Eddie Taubensee.
DETROIT TIGERS--Purchased the minor league contracts of RHP Jorge Cordova, OF Nook Logan and OF Cody Ross. Assigned RHP Jeff Farnsworth, LHP Matt Miller and LHP Adam Pettyjohn outright to Toledo of the IL. Released INF Damian Jackson unconditionally.
