Shea out for season
BEREA -- Cleveland Browns tight end Aaron Shea was placed on the injured list Tuesday and will miss the rest of the season with a severely sprained left ankle.
Shea hurt his ankle during a Nov. 11 practice. The third year veteran caught seven passes for 49 yards this season and also played special teams.
Shea, 26, made three starts but had been hampered by an assortment of injuries.
The Browns filled his roster spot by signing fullback R.J. Bowers from the practice squad. Bowers has appeared in three games this season.
