NFL ROUNDUP | Sunday's other games

NFC
Eagles 38, Cardinals 14
At Philadelphia, Donovan McNabb played most of the game with a broken right ankle that could sideline him for 6-to-8 weeks. McNabb, playing on the ankle he injured on the third play of the game, tied a career high with four touchdown passes. Unable to scramble because of his injury -- diagnosed as a sprain during the game -- McNabb stayed in the pocket and threw TD passes of 2 yards to James Thrash, 3 yards to Dorsey Levens, 27 to Todd Pinkston and 9 to Duce Staley in the first half. Though he limped noticeably the entire game, McNabb didn't miss a play after he was hurt until resting with 4:49 remaining. He finished 20-of-25 for 255 yards and one interception, but had no rushing attempts for the first time in 53 career starts, including playoffs. Jake Plummer threw two TD passes for Arizona (4-6), which has lost four straight.
Vikings 31, Packers 21
At Minneapolis, the Packers (8-2), who have lost nine of 11 at the Metrodome, missed a chance to become the earliest team to clinch a division title in a 16-game season. They had won seven straight. Daunte Culpepper threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, and the Vikings intercepted Brett Favre three times. Michael Bennett ran for 130 yards on 20 carries. His 62-yard run just before the 2-minute warning in the fourth quarter set up a 3-yard touchdown run by Moe Williams, his 10th of the year for the Vikings (3-7). Minnesota's 31st-ranked defense held Ahman Green to 71 yards and kept Favre -- 24-of-42 for 296 yards and two touchdowns -- completely out of rhythm in the fourth quarter. Randy Moss caught six passes for 115 yards and a touchdown.
Falcons 24, Saints 17
At Atlanta, the Falcons swept the Saints as Michael Vick passed for two touchdowns and ran for another. Vick put on another dazzling performance before a raucous Georgia Dome crowd of 70,382 -- the second-largest in Falcons history -- as Atlanta (6-3-1) extended its unbeaten streak to six. The Falcons also sent a strong message to Saints receiver Joe Horn, who boasted that Atlanta was lucky to win the first meeting 37-35 on a field goal as time ran out. Atlanta's defense had a lot of prove after giving up a franchise-record 645 yards in a tie at Pittsburgh. New Orleans (7-3), leading the NFL in scoring, didn't reach the end zone until Aaron Brooks threw a quick slant to Horn that turned into a 57-yard touchdown pass with 11:54 remaining.
Buccaneers 23, Panthers 10
At Tampa, the NFL's top-ranked defense forced four turnovers as the Bucs (8-2) took sole possession of the NFC South lead. Tampa Bay has its best record ever after 10 games. Brad Johnson threw for 253 yards and two touchdowns and Martin Gramatica made three field goals. Carolina (3-7) has lost seven in a row.
Giants 19, Redskins 17
At East Rutherford, N.J., Giants rookie tight end Jeremy Shockey caught 11 passes for 111 yards, Amani Toomer had eight for 95 and Matt Bryant kicked four field goals in a steady rain. Washington (4-6) had a chance to win with 3:11 to go, but James Tuthill slipped on a 42-yard field goal attempt and Lance Legree blocked the low line drive, sealing a third straight win for the Giants (6-4).
INTERCONFERENCE
Broncos 31, Seahawks 9
At Seattle, Denver quarterback Brian Griese left with a sprained knee late in the third quarter after throwing to Rod Smith for a 16-yard gain to the 1. Seattle rookie Rocky Bernard hit Griese's knee, drawing a penalty. Steve Beuerlein took over and threw two fourth-quarter touchdown passes. Clinton Portis ran for 136 yards on 23 carries and Deltha O'Neal returned a late interception 22 yards for a TD as the Broncos rebounded from an embarrassing Monday night loss to Oakland. Beuerlein tossed a 1-yard TD pass to diving tight end Patrick Hape, giving the Broncos a 17-6 lead on the first play of the fourth quarter. That play was a backbreaker for the struggling Seahawks (3-7), who failed to score a touchdown for the second straight game at home.
Jets 31, Lions 14
At Detroit, the Jets won on the road for the ninth time in 12 games under Herman Edwards and have won an NFL-best 27 away games since 1997. Chad Pennington threw a career-high four touchdowns, two to Wayne Chrebet. Laveranues Coles caught seven passes for 114 yards, and Curtis Martin ran for 112 yards. The Jets (5-5) have won three straight and four of five. Rookie Joey Harrington threw two TD passes to Bill Schroeder for the Lions (3-7), who had won three in a row at Ford Field. WR Az-Zahir Hakim dislocated his hip and is out for the season.
Colts 20, Cowboys 3
At Indianapolis, Marvin Harrison, the NFL's leading receiver, caught 14 passes for 138 yards, becoming the first player to top 1,000 yards this season, and caught his 600th career pass. Harrison reached that mark in 102 games, 16 games faster than anyone in NFL history. Peyton Manning threw two late touchdown passes to Harrison, Mike Vanderjagt made two field goals and Edgerrin James rushed for 106 yards on 24 carries after missing the previous two games with hamstring and rib injuries. The Colts (6-4) stayed atop the AFC South. The Cowboys (3-7) lost their fourth straight.
AFC
Raiders 27, Patriots 20
At Oakland, Rich Gannon threw for 297 yards as the Raiders (6-4) took control early in the first meeting between the teams since the Super Bowl champions' controversial overtime victory in last season's playoffs. The Raiders still are steaming about the infamous "tuck rule" call on that snowy January night. But Oakland didn't allow this game to come down to an officiating decision. Tom Brady's ballhandling again figured into the outcome. Chris Cooper forced Brady to fumble shortly before halftime, setting up a touchdown that gave the Raiders a double-digit lead. New England (5-5) rallied late, but couldn't recover an onside kick.
Chiefs 17, Bills 16
At Kansas City, Trent Green ran for a decisive 9-yard score with 4:53 to play and Eric Warfield intercepted Drew Bledsoe's final pass to clinch it. Two pass-interference penalties, including a 36-yarder against Chris Watson, allowed the Chiefs (5-5) to set up Green's unexpected run. Priest Holmes, held in check for most of the game, finished with 104 yards on 31 carries. Mike Hollis kicked three field goals and Travis Henry had 126 yards on 24 carries for Buffalo (5-5).
Dolphins 26, Ravens 7
At Miami, the Dolphins (6-4) took sole possession of the AFC East lead -- one game ahead of New England, Buffalo and the New York Jets, and held Baltimore (4-6) to a season-low 157 yards. Ray Lucas got his first win as a Dolphins quarterback, throwing for 221 yards as Miami ended a streak of three consecutive losses with Lucas starting for Jay Fiedler, who will likely miss two more games with a broken thumb. Ricky Williams tied a team record with his fifth 100-yard rushing game, gaining 102 yards in 26 carries, and scored on runs of 2 and 4 yards.
Jaguars 24, Texans 21
At Houston, Mark Brunell passed for 224 yards and two touchdowns, ensuring the Jaguars would not lose twice this season to the expansion Texans. The Jags (5-5) have won two straight after a four-game losing streak. Houston (2-8) rallied from a 24-7 deficit when David Carr scored on runs of 2 and 14 yards -- the latter with 2:04 left.
