Death is ruled a homicide



FARRELL, Pa. -- The Mercer County Coroner has ruled that Thomas E. Blakeley's death is a homicide. Coroner J. Bradley McGonigle III said the immediate cause of death is still pending because he is waiting for toxicology reports.
Blakeley, 38, of Sharpsville, died at 2:50 a.m. Saturday at UPMC Horizon after a fight near the Blue Ribbon Bar on Broadway Avenue, said Southwest Mercer County Regional Police. Jerrold Lee Allen, 31, of Thornton Avenue, Sharon, is charged with aggravated and simple assault.
Police said the investigation is continuing and more charges are pending.
