Time for fun, learning
The Youngstown-Cleveland Chapter of the Children's International Summer Villages will sponsor an afternoon of fun and learning at 2 p.m. Nov. 24 at the American Red Cross, 8392 Tod Ave., Boardman, and at 2 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Jewish Community Center, 505 Gypsy Lane, Youngstown. Programs are for children 11 and older and adults 21 and older. Canned-food drive
BOARDMAN -- Citifinancial's Boardman office, 4845 Market St., Suite 5, Shops on the Glen, is sponsoring a canned-food drive until Dec. 20 to benefit the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley, 962 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Youngstown. Nonperishable items can be donated to the office daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with extended hours to 7 p.m. Thursdays. The drive is part of the company's annual customer appreciation celebration that begins Monday and continues through Friday.
