Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Martinko honored for golden anniversary

XPOLAND -- Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Martinko of Poland were guests of honor during a surprise party Oct. 12 at St. Nicholas Church social hall in Struthers.
The couple received a 50th wedding anniversary papal blessing certificate in observance of the occasion.
The former Helen Puhala and Mr. Martinko were married Oct. 11, 1952, at St. Cyril Church in Youngstown.
Their children and their spouses are Margie and Jeff Proch, Janet and Steve Planey and Steve and Teresa Martinko, all of Canfield, and David and Dr. Karen Martinko Lehtinen, Cleveland. The family circle also includes four grandchildren.
Mr. Martinko retired from Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co. after 43 years of service.
Mr. and Mrs. Martinko are members of St. Nicholas Church, Struthers.
