XYOUNGSTOWN -- Monsignor Lawrence Fye officiated Oct. 12 at St. Columba Cathedral for the 2:30 p.m. wedding of Melissa Marie Thomas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas Jr., 5313 Shadow Creek Drive, Boardman, and Brad Jason Zreny, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Zreny, 803 Bridge Road, Akron.
A reception took place at Tippecanoe Country Club in Canfield, and the couple honeymooned at New Smyrna Beach, Fla., and Disney World. They live at 2065 Elbur Ave., Lakewood.
The bride's ivory satin two-piece gown featured a strapless bodice embellished with Venise lace and scattered with rhinestones. The box-pleated skirt was designed with a cathedral train.
Maid of honor was Erin Dorman, and bridesmaids were the bride's sisters, Kerry Thomas and Kelly Kempf; and Kasey Kinnison, Kristen Mead and Haley Teeters. They wore black and ivory ensembles.
Chris Pullen was best man, and groomsmen were William Thomas III, the bride's brother; Scott Day; Daniel Murphy; Jesse Reeves; and John Zreny, the groom's brother.
A graduate of Ohio University in Athens with a bachelor's degree in biology and a master's in physical therapy, Mrs. Zreny is a physical therapist at Achievement Centers for Children in Lakewood.
Her husband also earned his bachelor's degree in biology and master's in physical therapy from OU. He is a physical therapist at Health South in Elyria.
