RALEIGH, N.C. -- Jesse Boulerice scored his first NHL goal and point against his former team as Carolina tied Philadelphia. The Flyers snapped Carolina's three-game winning streak. Still, the Hurricanes improved to 4-0-2-1 seven games into their nine-game homestand and have points in 11 of 12 games. The overtime loss at the RBC Center was 2-1 to the Flyers 10 days ago. Since then, Philadelphia is 0-2-2.
Maple Leafs 3, Sabres 2
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Alexander Mogilny scored goals 2:13 apart as Toronto beat Buffalo, extending the Sabres winless streak to 10 games. Mikael Renberg also scored, and Ed Belfour stopped 35 shots for the Maple Leafs, who scored three second-period goals in less than three minutes to overcame a 1-0 deficit. Toronto, coming off Tuesday's 4-3 overtime victory over Los Angeles, won back-to-back games for the first time this season.
Coyotes 5, Thrashers 1
ATLANTA -- Tony Amonte had a goal and an assist as Phoenix used a pair of quick strikes to end a three-game losing streak. Amonte and Mike Johnson scored 50 seconds apart early in the second, and Landon Wilson and Daniel Briere added goals in a 32-second span late in the period to end Atlanta's three-game winning streak. It was the highest scoring game this season for Phoenix, which scored four goals only once.
Lightning 4, Sharks 2
TAMPA, Fla. -- Dave Andreychuk set an NHL record by scoring his 250th career power-play goal as Tampa Bay beat San Jose. Andreychuk's goal at 9:43 of the first period came when he redirected a pass from Brad Richards past Sharks goalie Evgeni Nabokov. San Jose's Mark Smith made the power play possible by taking an obstruction-hooking penalty. Andreychuk was tied for the record with Phil Esposito, a radio broadcaster for the Lightning.
Devils 5, Canadiens 1
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Jamie Langenbrunner scored two goals for the second straight game to lead the New Jersey Devils to victory over the Montreal Canadiens. Brian Gionta, Sergei Brylin and Patrik Elias also scored for the Devils, and Martin Brodeur made 20 saves to improve his record to 10-4. Saku Koivu had the lone goal for Montreal. Jeff Hackett (4-1-2), pelted with 44 Devils shots, suffered his first loss of the season.
Red Wings 2, Mighty Ducks 1
DETROIT -- Sergei Fedorov's scored his NHL-record 12th overtime goal at 4:39 of the extra session to lift the Detroit Red Wings to a victory over the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. The goal, Fedorov's 11th of the season, was also his league-leading, sixth game-winning goal this season. Fedorov's slap shot from the high slot beat Jean-Sebastien Giguere, who made 42 saves. He had been tied with three other players with 11 regular-season overtime goals.
Stars 4, Avalanche 2
DALLAS -- Mike Modano earned his 1,000th career point, and Niko Kapanen scored a short-handed goal with 3:29 left, carrying the Dallas Stars past the Colorado Avalanche. Colorado goaltender Patrick Roy became the NHL career leader in minutes played, but he couldn't prevent the Avalanche from losing in regulation on the road for the first time this season. Roy broke the mark held by Terry Sawchuk.
Capitals 2, Blackhawks 2
CHICAGO -- Chris Simon's power-play goal with 1:26 left in the third period lifted the Chicago Blackhawks into a 2-2 tie with the Washington Capitals. Simon, acquired from Washington on Nov. 1, redirected Alex Zhamnov's shot between Olaf Kolzig's pads with Chicago goalie Jocelyn Thibault pulled for a sixth attacker. Phil Housley also scored for the Blackhawks, who outshot the Capitals 38-16. Thibault made 11 saves as the Blackhawks extended their unbeaten streak to five games (3-0-2).

EDMONTON, Alberta -- Anson Carter and Marty Reasoner each scored twice and Tommy Salo made 29 saves for his first shutout of the season as the Edmonton Oilers beat the St. Louis Blues. Mike Comrie had a goal and two assists, and Ryan Smyth added three assists for the Oilers, who played their first game at home after a 3-3 road trip. The three assists tied Smyth's career high, and Comrie earned his 50th career goal and 100th career point.
