SHENANGO VALLEY ABWA chapter recognizes boss, associate of the year

WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. -- Shenango Valley Charter Chapter of the American Business Women's Association honored Glen A. Augustine as boss of the year and Karen L. Duda as associate of the year during a meeting Nov. 6 at the Radisson.
Augustine is president of Greenville Savings Bank. He travels daily between the branches in Greenville and Hermitage. He was nominated by Carole Giroski.
Duda is chairperson of the department of computer science and information systems at Youngstown State University. She has taught for 33 years and received the Distinguished Professor Award for Excellence in Teaching in 1991 and 2000. She was nominated by Jean Haugher.
The evening's speaker was Mary Ann McConnell, state Republican committeewoman. She spoke about running for political office.
Past recipients of the boss and associate awards also were recognized.
