Honored for service
WARREN -- Two Trumbull County Educational Service Center board members have been recognized for 25 years or more of service.
The Ohio School Boards Association honored Beverly Friend and James LaPolla Sr. among nearly 70 board members from around the state recognized for their length of service.
The awards were presented during OSBA's Capital Conference and Trade Show in Columbus.
Friend has served on the TCESC board since 1976 and has held several offices, including president for 10 years and vice president for seven years.
LaPolla has served since 1986 and previously served on the Howland Board of Education. He was president of the TCESC board for one year and vice president four years.
