Nov. 4
Auto theft: A 2001 Chevrolet Blazer was missing from a driveway in the 7100 block of Glendale Avenue.
Theft: An employee at The Greenbriar nursing home, 8064 South Ave., discovered $1,200 was removed from a desk drawer in the facility's main office.
Theft: An Ohio dealer tag was missing from a vehicle at Van's Motors, 5206 Youngstown-Poland Road.
Theft by deception: A Kettering, Ohio, man reported a $934 check was fraudulently used at Leather Boutique in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A Niles man reported he left an antique, $3,500 14-karat ring in a restroom at the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall and discovered it gone when he returned for it.
Theft: Two National City Bank checkbooks and $5 were removed from a vehicle parked in the 3900 block of Baymar Drive.
Theft/criminal damaging: A Jeep's tarpaulin window was damaged and $25 worth of surveying equipment was stolen from it in the 5900 block of Glenridge Road.
Arrest: Police arrested a 25-year-old Bessemer, Pa., man at the Southern Park Mall on charges of obstructing official business, resisting arrest, possession of drugs and possession of drug abuse instruments. He also was wanted on a Liberty warrant charging him with robbery.
Theft: Police charged an 18-year-old Youngstown woman with theft after $13 worth of toothpaste was stolen from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Theft: A 14-year-old Leetonia boy was arrested on a theft charge after an employee at Target department store, 417 Boardman-Poland Road, said he saw the suspect conceal three compact discs.

Burglary: Two swivel chairs, a solarium door and frame, a tall table, rocking chairs and an end table were stolen from Polaris Technologies, 45 Karago Ave.
Bad checks: Four checks totaling $1,417 were written to pay for repair services at Midas Auto Service Experts, 5938 Market St., drawn on a closed account.
Theft: An employee at a BP gas station, 1090 Boardman-Poland Road, reported being shortchanged $50.
Theft: About $150 worth of miscellaneous children's clothing was stolen from Sears in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: Police arrested two Salem girls, ages 16 and 17, on a theft charge after $283 worth of merchandise was stolen from Kaufmann's department store in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: Police charged a 13-year-old Youngstown girl with theft after $144 worth of children's merchandise was stolen from Sears.
Theft: A man alleged that an employee at Smoker Friendly, 4605 Market St., stole $8,797 worth of cigarettes over a three-year period.

Breaking and entering/theft: A woman reported someone broke into her vehicle and stole a dark blue briefcase, a checkbook and 10 CDs while she was at Club South Health & amp; Fitness Center, 7170 Tiffany Blvd.
Theft: An employee at Smoker Friendly reported a man stole three cartons of cigarettes before fleeing the store.
Theft: A woman reported someone stole her purse after she accidentally left it in a restroom in the 7400 block of South Avenue.
Warrant: Police arrested a 21-year-old Youngstown man on a charge of trafficking in cocaine.
Criminal damaging: A woman in the 400 block of Erskine Avenue reported two male juveniles kicked in a storm door at the back of her residence.
Thefts: Four men each reported money missing from belongings they left in various locker rooms at Ice Zone, 360 McClurg Road.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle's passenger-side rear window was smashed while it was parked at Mr. Anthony's Banquet Center, 7440 South Ave.
Breaking and entering: Police arrested a 29-year-old Youngstown man on a breaking and entering charge after they say he broke into Handel's Homemade Ice Cream & amp; Yogurt, 7365 South Ave.

Theft: A man reported $40 in proceeds was missing from the Microtel Inn, 7393 South Ave.
Thefts: A Poland woman reported someone stole $115 from her son at the Ice Zone.
Theft: A drill and 10 CDs were stolen from a pickup truck in the 8400 block of Southern Blvd.
Bad check: An employee at Furniture Wholesalers Bedding Carpeting & amp; Furniture, 8431 South Ave., reported a man paid for a double recliner with a $1,049 check drawn on a closed account
Bad check: An employee at Saunders Music, 4400 Market St., reported a woman purchased more than $2,100 worth of merchandise, including an electric guitar, with two checks drawn on a closed account.
Theft: A Liberty woman reported someone stole a BP credit card, three performance tickets, a leather organizer, a Palm Pilot and various papers from her vehicle while she was at Aladdin's Eatery, 7325 South Ave.
Arrest: Police arrested a 46-year-old Youngstown man on a charge of menacing by stalking.
Bad check: An employee at CVS Pharmacy, 6121 South Ave., reported a woman gave her a $101 check drawn on a closed account.
Auto theft: A Canfield man reported someone took his 1988 Chevrolet G20 van without permission and failed to return it.
Burglary: A woman in the 5400 block of Southern Boulevard reported someone stole an undetermined amount of jewelry from her residence.

Warrant: Police arrested a 30-year-old Youngstown woman on three charges of theft after an employee at Sky Bank, 525 E. Midlothian Blvd., said she illegally withdrew five checks totaling $1,100 from an account.
Theft: An employee at Metropolitan National Bank, 7025 Market St., reported $5,000 worth of $50 bills was taken from the bank's vault.
Theft: Two amplifiers, a Sony CD player and another item were stolen from a vehicle in the 1800 block of Oles Avenue.
Attempted breaking and entering: Someone tried to break into a vending machine at Jim's Brushless Full Service Car Wash, 238 Boardman-Canfield Road, and caused $1,000 in damage.
Theft: A New Castle, Pa., woman reported a man stole her Visa credit card and used it to buy merchandise at Best Buy and Kmart.
Theft: A Lowellville man reported his wallet, $100, an Ohio driver's license and a credit card were stolen while he was at Astre Total Fitness and Rehabilitation, 374 Boardman-Poland Road.
Assault: A man in the 30 block of Ferncliff Avenue reported a man tried to run him over with a riding mower in the front yard of his residence.
Burglary: A DVD player, a CD stereo unit and a 19-inch TV were stolen from an apartment in the 6000 block of Applecrest Court.
Theft: Two pieces of merchandise were stolen from Golf Headquarters, 1330 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Warrant: Police arrested a 30-year-old Youngstown man on an arson charge.

Assault: A woman reported a 13-year-old boy assaulted her 13-year-old daughter at Glenwood Middle School, 7635 Glenwood Ave.
Warrant: Police arrested a 29-year-old Warren man on a probation violation charge.
Theft: An employee at Kaufmann's reported 50 personal checks, a purse, a cellular phone, $40 and various papers missing from a sales counter in the store.
Theft: A man reported $35 missing from his wallet while he was at Ice Zone.
Theft: Police arrested a 13-year-old Youngstown boy on a theft charge after six pieces of clothing and a pair of tennis shoes were stolen from J.C. Penney. He also was charged with receiving stolen property.
Assault: A woman in the 7000 block of West Boulevard reported a 23-year-old family member assaulted her during an argument.

Assault: A man in the 100 block of Shadyside Drive reported being assaulted when he answered the door to his residence. He suffered a bloody mouth, a swollen left cheek and a swollen lip.
Theft: A leather coat and a black purse were stolen from Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: Police arrested a 25-year-old Youngstown woman on a theft charge after an employee at Kmart alleged she stole $230 from the store.
Domestic violence: A 22-year-old Youngstown man was arrested on a domestic violence charge after a Youngstown woman reported he assaulted her in a vehicle near Eric Street and Argyle Avenue. The woman received a mouth injury.
Theft: Police arrested a 53-year-old Youngstown man on a theft charge after eight pipe fittings were stolen from Home Depot, 7001 Southern Blvd.
Domestic violence: Police arrested an 18-year-old Boardman man and charged him with domestic violence after a woman in the 1900 block of Wolosyn Circle reported he assaulted her.
Forgery/theft: A man in the 5000 block of Firnley Avenue reported an undetermined amount of money was missing from his checking account, and that his signature was forged on several personal checks.

Nov. 6
Warrant: Police arrested a 44-year-old Poland man at his Massachusetts Avenue residence on a charge of failure to appear in court.
Nov. 7
Assault: After driving on U.S. Route 224, a man reported another man followed him into the Poland post office parking lot and pushed him in the face during a verbal altercation. The victim also said the man threw various objects at his vehicle while they were stopped in traffic.
Fraud: A woman in the 10 block of Michigan Avenue reported a man misrepresented himself by claiming to be an employee at Better Plumbers & amp; Home Improvement, Struthers, and that he and five others charged her $5,000 for various repairs. The woman called police after she said she found out he was unlicensed.
