MADD candlelight vigil
BOARDMAN -- The Mahoning-Trumbull Counties Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving will sponsor a "Candlelight Vigil of Remembrance and Hope" at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Beard Cabin in Boardman Township Park. Guest speaker will be Miriam Fife, court advocate for the Trumbull County prosecutor's office.
The vigil's purpose is to remember loved ones killed by drunken drivers, and MADD's mission is to stop drunken driving, to support victims and to prevent underage drinking.
Thanksgiving donations
COLUMBIANA -- The Way Station here is asking for donations of canned and boxed foods for its annual Thanksgiving dinner, to be served Nov. 27.
Items needed are pies, stuffing, green bean and corn casseroles, butter, sour cream and cranberry sauce. Contact Carla at (330) 482-5072. Monetary donations should be sent to The Way Station, P.O. Box 449, Columbiana 44408. Specify "Thanksgiving dinner."
