YOUNGSTOWN -- Youngstown State men's basketball coach John Robic will begin his radio show Nov. 18 from 7-8 p.m.
The show runs on radio stations WKBN-AM 570 and WNIO-AM 1390 with host Robb Schmidt, the play-by-play voice of the Penguins.
All radio shows in November and December will be on Monday evenings. In January the show moves to Tuesday nights.

Irizarry, Burgessselected for game
Two area high school football players have been selected today to participate in a national all-star game.
Ursuline senior tight end Louis Irizarry and Warren Harding senior defensive back Prescott Burgess were chosen among 78 of the top high school players across the nation.
They were recognized at their respective schools today to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Jan. 5 at the Alamodome in San Antonio. The game will be televised on ESPN2.
Irizarry has committed to play at Ohio State, while Burgess is also expected to play Div. I college football.
Runners gearingfor Turkey Trot
CHAMPION -- The 24th Annual Turkey Trot will be held at Kent Trumbull Branch on Thanksgiving morning. The race is presented by the Warren Kiwanis Club and benefits various Kiwanis projects.
The race has become the largest running event in the Mahoning Valley. Over 1,200 runners, joggers and walkers participated in the 2001 event.
Two runs will be contested at the Turkey Trot. The 2-mile fun run begins at 9 a.m. and the 5-mile race starts at 9:45 a.m. Both races start and finish in front of the main administration building at Kent Branch Trumbull Campus.
The entry fee for the race is $13 if received by Nov. 22 and $15 if registering after that date. Runners can register on race day beginning at 8 a.m. in the administration building but are encouraged to pre-register to avoid the rush and ensure that they receive a shirt.

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. -- Ariel Witmer of North Lima, competing in the 8-11 year-old division, took first place in the Plantations Junior Golf tournament as she fired a two-round total of 155.
OAC hands outacademic honors
ALLIANCE -- Mount Union College placed six players on the 2002 All-Ohio Athletic Conference Academic team.
Seniors running back Dan Pugh, a psychology major with a 3.18 grade point average; tight end Josh Liddel, a history major with a 3.69 GPA; defensive end Matt Campbell, a history major with a 3.42 GPA; and junior wide receiver Randell Knapp, a biology major with a 3.87 GPA earned first-team honors.
Senior Dustin Blake, a business administration major with a 3.39 GPA, and Zachary Bruney, a sophomore exercise science major with a 3.82 GPA, were second-team selections.
Ohio Northern University junior quarterback Matt Kanetsky, a Hubbard native and a biology/pre-med major with a 3.84 GPA, was a first-team choice.
Soccer teamsat national level
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The Westminster College men's and women's soccer teams have earned berths in the NCAA Division III national championship tournaments.
They are the squads' first appearances at that level. The men (16-3-2) will play Otterbein (18-2-1) today at Westerville at 1 p.m.
The women (15-5-2) will play host to Frostburg St. (10-7-2) today at 1 p.m.

Westminsterqualifies team
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The Westminster College volleyball team has been selected to participate in the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III South Region championships Friday and Saturday.
Westminster (25-9, 10-0 PAC) is seeded sixth in the six-team, single-elimination event. The Titans will face Franklin & amp; Marshall College (28-9) in an opening round match Friday at 7 p.m.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Bob Knight is suing Indiana University, alleging he lost more than $2 million in income since being fired by the school two years ago.
Knight contends he was fired without cause, without a proper meeting of university trustees and without a chance to defend himself.
