DALLAS -- Dirk Nowitzki scored 26 points and had a season-high 17 rebounds as Dallas (7-0) remained the NBA's lone unbeaten team. The Mavericks turned a 13-point second-quarter deficit into a 12-point lead by the end of the third quarter. Nowitzki, who before the game was named the Western Conference's top player for last week, started a 21-3 run with consecutive 3-pointers. Michael Finley capped it with a fadeaway jumper at the buzzer. Finley finished with 21 points. Nowitzki also set a career-high with six steals and Finley had eight rebounds. Portland, playing its third road game in four nights, missed 13 straight shots during a 10:21 span. Rasheed Wallace led Portland with 14 points and Arvydas Sabonis had 10 points and 10 rebounds. The Blazers were without Bonzi Wells, who was suspended without pay for one game for spitting on San Antonio forward Danny Ferry on Friday night.
Warriors 108, Grizzlies 101
MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Antawn Jamison had 37 points and 11 rebounds as the Golden State kept Memphis (0-8) winless. Erick Dampier had 18 points and 16 rebounds, while Troy Murphy added 18 points for the Warriors. The Grizzlies were led by Pau Gasol's 24 points. Gordan Giricek had 21, Lorenzen Wright added 18 and Wesley Person 15.
Spurs 91, Timberwolves 75
SAN ANTONIO -- Tim Duncan scored 20 points and Steve Kerr connected on five 3-pointers to lead San Antonio. The Spurs never trailed, sprinting out to a 23-point lead in the second quarter. Kerr finished with 17 points in 23 minutes, while David Robinson added 13 points and Tony Parker 10. Robinson also had 19 rebounds for his fifth double-double in seven games, and Parker set a new personal best with 12 assists. Rasho Nesterovic paced Minnesota with 16 points, and Kevin Garnett scored 14 points and collected 14 rebounds.
Celtics 112, Jazz 95
BOSTON -- Paul Pierce scored 35 points and Boston used 3-point shooting to overcome a halftime deficit. The Jazz committed 29 turnovers. The Celtics hit five 3-pointers in the third quarter and four in the fourth to win their fifth straight. Pierce scored 27 points in the second half. Antoine Walker added 27 points and Tony Delk had 13. The Jazz were led by Karl Malone with 20 and Matt Harpring and Scott Padgett with 15 each.
