Canankamps celebrate 50th jubilee during their vacation in Nashville

XBERLIN CENTER -- Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Canankamp, 7275 S. Pricetown Road, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at the Gaylord Opryland Grand Hotel in Nashville, where they vacationed from Oct. 15-20.
The former Ruth Craig and Mr. Canankamp were married Oct. 24, 1952, at the Chapel of Friendly Bells in Youngstown. They are members of Berlin Center United Methodist Church and Northern Ohio Early Ford V-8 Club of America.
Their family includes Richard and Colleen Truitt and William and Lisa Porterfield, all of Berlin Center, and four grandchildren.
Mrs. Canankamp retired in 1996 from Western Reserve Local School District, where she was employed as a secretary.
Mr. Canankamp served with the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict and was a maintenance supervisor with Flo Lor Investments in Youngstown prior to retiring in June 2000.
