XCORONA, Calif. -- Honeymooning in Hawaii are Jason Ahlswede and his bride, the former Amy Cahoon, both of 816 View Circle, who exchanged marriage vows before the Rev. Vince Connor during a ceremony at 1 p.m. Nov. 9 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church.
Parents of the newlyweds are Robert and Kathleen Cahoon, 1334 Jewehave, Pittsburg, Calif., and Bill and Susan Ahlswede, 2760 Hidden Hills Way, formerly of the Youngstown and Boardman areas.
The couple accepted congratulations during a reception held at the Embassy Suites in Anaheim, Calif.
The bride graduated from Long Beach State University in Long Beach, Calif., with a degree in history. She is a teacher in Long Beach.
Mr. Ahlswede is employed as an information technology analyst with California Transit Authority in Los Angeles. He is attending Riverside College in Riverside, Calif.
Beads embellished the bride's dress styled in an A-line design.
Wearing plum dresses were the bride's sister and honor attendant, Kristina Takeshita of Monterey Park, Calif., and bridesmaid Nicole Maggiore of Brentwood, Calif., her cousin.
Performing the duties of best man was Bill A. Ahlswede of Corona, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Miguel Havican and Shane Havican, both of Cypress, Calif.
The couple live at the View Circle address.
