SHARON, Pa. -- Sharon American Legion will have its annual Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. Monday.
Representatives of veterans organizations will march from Sharon City Centre to the State Street bridge over the Shenango River, where they will fire a military salute and drop a wreath into the river in memory of deceased veterans.

HERMITAGE, Pa. -- The annual Shenango Valley Veterans Day Parade will be at 6 p.m. Monday.
The parade forms at Hermitage Towne Plaza and will move west on State Street to Boyd Drive, where it will disband.
State Street from Buhl Boulevard in Sharon to Dutch Lane in Hermitage will be closed during the parade.

SHARON, Pa. -- Penn State Shenango will have an open house geared toward nontraditional students at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Sharon Hall Room 105 and a Spring Enrollment Day from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 18 in Sharon Hall Room 2006.
The open house will focus on degrees offered at the campus, admission procedures, scholarship and financial aid, scheduling and life as an adult student at the campus.
Spring Enrollment Day is for students who plan to enroll for the spring semester. Students should bring a copy of their high school transcripts and any other college transcripts.

Hickory High seniorstake to the stage
HERMITAGE, Pa. -- Hickory High School seniors will present their class play, "Don't Drink the Water," Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the new auditorium on North Hermitage Road.
The curtain will rise on the Woody Allen play at 7:30 each evening, but the Thursday performance will be preceded by a finger-food buffet at 7 p.m.
Tickets that night are $10 each. Tickets for the Friday and Saturday performances are $7 for adults and $5 for students.
