XBOARDMAN -- Nuptial vows were exchanged at 11 a.m. Oct. 5 as Amanda Lucille Schnelle and Shawn Patrick Murphy were united in marriage at St. James Meeting House by the Rev. Norman E. Crewson.
The bride is a daughter of Richard and Susan Schnelle of Farmington Hills, Mich., and the groom is a son of Patrick and May Murphy of Columbiana.
After reception at the Great Hall of St. Nicholas Church in Struthers, the couple left on a wedding trip to the Hocking Hills region and to Charleston, W.Va. They live in Canton.
The bride's Milano satin gown was embellished with pearls and floral embroidery, and the chapel-length veil she created was gathered to a silver tiara.
Navy-blue gowns were worn by the honor attendants, Lisa Dulaney and the bride's sisters, Gretchen and Heidi Schnelle. Flower girl was the groom's niece, Emily Huggins, in a baby-blue gown.
Serving as best man was Shane Carnahan, and groomsmen were the groom's brother-in-law, Richard Huggins, and the bride's cousin, Tyler Schrimp. Ring bearer was Nicholas Huggins, the groom's nephew, and ushers were Joseph Mlynarski, his brother-in-law, and James Morency.
The bride earned a bachelor's degree in English and history at West Liberty State College in West Virginia and is a reference assistant at Massillon Public Library.
The groom, an assistant branch manager with The Fastenal Co. in Akron, graduated from West Liberty with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
