STRUTHERS Judge issues warrant for area man

STRUTHERS -- Judge James R. Lanzo issued a warrant for Louis A. Slepski, 20, of Sexton Street, after Slepski failed to appear for his trial Wednesday.
Slepski is charged with theft, receiving stolen property and trespassing.
He was arrested May 14 along with three other men in the break-ins of at least four automobiles parked in driveways and on the road along Creed and Como streets, Helena Drive and Wilson Avenue.
Slepski was released in May after posting a $212 cash bond.
Samuel T. Cappitte, 21, of Wetmore Street; Jeffrey M. Gallagher, 20, of Creed Street; and Robert M. Louk, 22, of Grace Street, were also charged in the break-ins.
Cappitte, charged with theft, pleaded no contest Wednesday and was found guilty.
Judge Lanzo fined him $100 plus court costs, sentenced him to 180 days in jail, suspended, and a year's probation.
Judge Lanzo also set a sentence review for Cappitte in 60 days.
In August, Gallagher, also charged with theft, was fined $250 plus costs, sentenced to 180 days in jail and one year's reporting probation.
Last month, Gallagher's request for early release was denied.
Judge Lanzo also denied his request to serve his remaining sentence under electronically monitored house arrest.
Louk, charged with theft and trespassing, was fined $250 and costs.
