LTV tubular divisionto be sold to Maverick
YOUNGSTOWN -- Judge William Bodoh of U.S. Bankruptcy Court has approved the sale of LTV Corp.'s tubular division to Maverick Tube Corp. of St. Louis. The $110 million purchase was announced last month but closing is subject to Maverick negotiating a new union contract and other matters.
Judge Bodoh ruled Thursday after no one objected to the sale. Cleveland-based LTV is liquidating its operations. The tubular division includes a Youngstown plant which employs about 80 and an office which employs about 40.
Prodigal Media Co.moves to new quarters
POLAND -- Prodigal Media Co. has moved its operations to new and larger quarters in The Intellitech Building, 8544 Hickory Hill Drive in Poland. The new office building, designed to look like a castle, is off Western Reserve Road near Interstate 680. Jeff Hedrich, Prodigal president, said the move will help the advertising agency better serve its growing roster of local, regional and national clients.
