CHESTER, W.VA. Spadafora to put 35-0 mark on line

He faces Dennis Holbaek in a unification title fight Saturday night.
SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR
CHESTER, W. Va. -- Paul Spadafora and Dennis Holbaek were subdued at the press conference touting their lightweight unification title bout Saturday at Mountaineer Race Track and Gaming Resort.
Spadafora (35-0, 14 knockouts), a southpaw from Pittsburgh, meets Holbaek (43-1, 22 KOs) of Denmark in the last four main events.
Spadafora, who has been training nearly eight weeks for this fight, had to diet to make weight, but his chief trainer, Jesse Reed, said "He is in excellent condition, as he always is, because he takes every opponent seriously."
Spadafora has held his International Boxing Federation crown for 3 1/2 years. About Holbaek, who is called "Dennis the Menace," Spadafora said, "I have seen him on tape in five of his fights and he is very quick and a good counterpuncher, so with our styles similar this will be a chess match."
Holbaek has split his training for the last six weeks between Philadelphia and Trenton, N. J. He said: ""I always feel I can win every fight, but I will come in the ring Saturday night with a lot of respect for Spadafora and instead of talking, I will be fighting for his championship and to keep my [International Boxing Council] title."
Co-feature
A co-feature, a 10-round lightweight bout, will have Lamar Murphy (27-6, 19 KO's) of Miami against Victoriano Sosa of Santiago, Dominican Republic.

One of the early eight rounders on the card matches Abdul Blackburn of Cleveland in a junior welterweight fight against John "Macho Midget" Bailey (20-9-2, 12 KO's) of New Cumberland, W. Va. Bailey has been training with Jack Loew at the Southside Boxing Club.
