Scouting report: Girard is making its first appearance at state and is ranked eighth in the state in the final coaches poll. Huron, ranked second, is making its fourth consecutive appearance at state. The Tigers won a state title in 1999 and were runners-up to Lehman in 2000. Tusky Valley, ranked fourth, is making its fifth appearance at state. The Trojans were state runners-up last year. Lehman, ranked seventh, also is making its fifth appearance at state and was runner-up in 1993.
