VALLEY THOUGHTS Governor's race
Here's what some Mahoning Valley voters thought of the candidates to be the next Ohio governor:
"Taft is a liar. He lied on the prescription drug plan. Anyone who's watched the state of the economy knows what he's done to the economy." - Mike Alexander, 52, of Austintown, voted for Tim Hagan.
"I like some of [Taft's] policies in the state, I think he was very pro-labor. As far as Youngstown goes, the way he makes his stance on issues like labor and development are good for Youngstown." - Jeff Kurz, 26, of Poland, voted for Taft.
"I was watching the debates, and I saw the independent and the Democratic candidates talk about raising taxes and criticizing Taft and the Republicans for trying to cut taxes. Hagan's got all sorts of programs he wants to spend money on. I just feel the government needs to do the best they can with the money they have." - Dan Sobnosky, 42, of Liberty, voted for Taft.
