COLUMBUS -- Peter Bondra scored two goals, including the game-winner with 3.3 seconds remaining in overtime. With time running out, Michael Nylander slipped a pass through the crease to Bondra, who had a nearly empty net on the weak side and easily beat Blue Jackets goaltender Marc Denis for his seventh goal. Jeff Halpern had a shorthanded goal and an assist, Sergei Gonchar added two assists and Mike Grier also scored for the Capitals. Tyler Wright scored for the Blue Jackets. Ray Whitney and Geoff Sanderson each added a goal and an assist.
Blues 5, Canadiens 2
MONTREAL -- Pavol Demitra had a goal and two assists as St. Louis extended its NHL-best winning streak to nine games. Rookie Eric Boguniecki scored twice, and Martin Rucinsky and Doug Weight also scored for St. Louis. Fred Brathwaite stopped 13 shots for his fifth straight win. Jan Bulis and Saku Koivu scored for Montreal, which was unbeaten in its four previous games.
Flyers 2, Hurricanes 1, OT
RALEIGH, N.C. -- John LeClair scored his 300th goal with Philadelphia with 3:04 remaining in overtime as the Flyers extended their winning streak to six straight. LeClair pounded a rebound past Kevin Weekes to run Philadelphia's unbeaten streak to seven (6-0-1). Justin Williams had a goal and an assist for Philadelphia. Former Flyer Rod Brind'Amour scored a power-play goal for the Hurricanes.
Maple Leafs 4, Lightning 3
TORONTO -- Alexander Mogilny scored three goals for Toronto, including the game-winner with 2:22 to play. Mogilny got his 16th career hat trick, Ed Belfour made 34 saves and Darcy Tucker also scored for Toronto. Brad Richards had a goal and an assist for the Lightning, who have lost three straight. Sheldon Keefe and Andre Roy also scored.
Blackhawks 2, Red Wings 0
DETROIT -- Jocelyn Thibault made 18 saves for his 29th career shutout, and Steve Sullivan and Andrei Nikolishin scored to lead Chicago. Thibault blanked the Red Wings at Joe Louis Arena for the second time in less than a year. He was the last goaltender to shut out the Stanley Cup champions in Detroit on Dec. 17, 2001. Thibault stopped Chris Chelios on a shorthanded breakaway with 2:20 left, then denied Sergei Fedorov from point-blank range with 1:35 to go.
Flames 3, Devils 2
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Chris Drury scored the go-ahead goal early in the third period for Calgary. Mathias Johansson and Stephane Yelle also scored, and backup goalie Jamie McLennan made 20 of his 31 saves in the third period. Mike Danton and Colin White had the goals for New Jersey, which missed a chance to match the franchise record for best start after 10 games.
Rangers 5, Oilers 2
NEW YORK -- Radek Dvorak had a goal and two assists, and Tom Poti set up two goals against his former team as New York snapped a three-game losing streak. Dvorak and linemate Petr Nedved scored in the first period, and Poti assisted on second-period goals by Mark Messier and Mikael Samuelsson. Rem Murray, acquired in the same March 19 trade that brought Poti to New York, scored with 1.1 seconds remaining in the second. Mike Comrie scored a power-play goal for the Oilers. Mike Richter made 39 saves in his 301st career victory.
Sharks 5, Kings 2
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Lynn Loyns scored his first two NHL goals, and Evgeni Nabokov made 27 saves in his first home game of the season for San Jose. Mike Rathje scored two goals in the third period. Todd Harvey also scored during San Jose's three-goal third. Rathje had the first two-goal game of his career. Jaroslav Modry and Derek Armstrong scored for the Kings.
