Stevenses observe 50th anniversary at dinner party

XBOARDMAN -- Mr. and Mrs. Arthur E. Stevens Jr. of Sugartree Drive observed their 50th wedding anniversary during a dinner held Nov. 1 at the Springfield Grille.
The couple will continue the celebration during an extended trip to Phoenix, Ariz., Long Beach and Winchester, Calif., and Lauderdale By The Sea, Fla.
The trip has been arranged by their children, Terry Malys of Boardman, Arthur E. Stevens III of Indianapolis and Debbie Greco of Lauderdale By The Sea. There are eight grandchildren in the family.
The former Elizabeth R. Zappia and Mr. Stevens were married Nov. 1, 1952, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Youngstown.
Mr. Stevens served with the U.S. Navy and retired from LTV Steel Corp. in 1987 after 39 years of service. Mrs. Stevens is a homemaker.
