YOUNGSTOWN -- John Fox will start the dialogue, and The Hubcaps will provide the music at "The History of Rock Music -- A Jewish Perspective" at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Peaberry's Cafe at Youngstown State University inside Kilcawley Center. Admission is free. Fox is a musical entertainer and rock historian. The program is sponsored by Schermer Scholar-In-Residence Program and Youngstown Area Jewish Federation.
Veterans Day Salute
WARREN -- Guest vocalist Leonard Suzelis will sing "The Star Spangled Banner," "God Bless America," "Let There Be Peace On Earth" and "God Bless the U.S.A." at W.D. Packard Concert Band's Veterans Day Salute concert at 3 p.m. next Sunday in Packard Music Hall, 1703 Mahoning Ave. S.W. The band will also perform "Armed Forces Salute" and John Philip Sousa's "Stars and Stripes Forever." Admission is free.
Graham Nash at hall
CLEVELAND -- A free performance and book-signing session by musician Graham Nash will be at 1 p.m. next Sunday at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. Nash, of Crosby, Stills & amp; Nash, is a rock hall inductee. His new book it titled "Off the Record: Songwriters on Songwriting" and his latest CD is "Songs for Survivors."

CORTLAND -- Book reviewer and storyteller Ann Penman of Warren will discuss Grace Allison's book "19th Century Voices of Trumbull County, Ohio" at 10 a.m. Nov. 12 at Viets Museum, 224 N. 'Art on View'
ATHENS, Ohio -- Artists who live or work within a 200-mile radius of Dairy Barn Southeastern Ohio Cultural Arts Center may land a spot in the juried show "Art On View," which will be on display from March 21 through May 4. Sixty works will be chosen for the show, and awards will be given in several categories. Deadline for entry forms is Feb. 5. For a form, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Art On View, P.O. Concert canceled
AKRON -- Have they lost that lovin' feeling?
A concert by The Righteous Brothers that was scheduled for Nov. 19 at E.J. Thomas Hall at University of Akron has been canceled. No explanation was given.

A new trend?
Dr. Vail Reese, the dermatologist who keeps track of celebrity trends, notes that the new movie "Frida" may help popularize the Kahlo "unibrow." (Salma Hayek portrays the Mexican painter.)
