XGIRARD -- St. Rose Church was the setting at 2 p.m. Oct. 5 for the wedding of Mary Kathleen Riley and Mark John Cretella.
Parents of the newlyweds are Albert and Mary Riley of Liberty and John and Paulette Cretella of Girard.
The Rev. Peter Haladej officiated, and a reception followed at the Grand Pavilion at Opus Twenty One in Howland. After a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple live in Girard.
The bride's strapless A-line ivory satin gown featured a beaded bodice and chapel train.
Nora Serna was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Carolyn Abbruzzese, Ann Connelly, Jennifer Connelly, Marcie Ehmann, Angela Kirsch, Kristina McGovern, Robyn Riley, Erica Shonn and Suzie Venettacci. They wore navy-blue gowns. Alexandra Serna was flower girl.
Best man was Shawn Durkin, and groomsmen were James McKernan, Richard Bakos, David Deramo, Tim Riley, Breen Durkin, Mark Pagano, Albert Riley III, Thomas Dyce and William Durkin. Ring bearer was John Serna, and ushers were Christopher Watts, Eric Neely, Jeffrey McCready and Aaron Alejars.
Mrs. Cretella holds a bachelor's degree in French from the University of Cincinnati and attended L'Universit & eacute; Catholique de l'ouest in Angers, France. She earned a master's in French education at Youngstown State University and teaches French at Boardman High School.
Her husband graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in accounting. He is a field accountant with PSC Metals in Cleveland.
