Magic of an Angels' Christmas planned

The event raises funds for the Easter Seal Society.
BOARDMAN -- The Angels of Easter Seals will sponsor its 16th annual Magic of an Angels' Christmas Nov. 23 at Antone's Banquet Centre.
This year's theme will be "Treasures from the Angels."
The event will begin with a social hour at 6:30 p.m. followed by a gourmet dinner at 7:30 and dancing. Featured will be live and silent auctions, a cash bar and valet parking. A highlight of the evening will be a treasure hunt for semiprecious and precious gems.
The live auction will feature a variety of items including an elegant catered Christmas Eve dinner for 12. Raffle trees will be offered with themes of sports-leisure, children, money tree and gourmet-kitchen. The silent auction will feature holiday and sports items.
Stan Boney of WYTV will serve as master of ceremonies, and also participating will be media personalities Susan DeLeo of WFMJ and Catherine Bosley of WKBN.
Advance raffle tickets are being sold throughout the community by members of the Angels, and anyone interested in supporting the event may join them in decorating the "Children's Magical Tree." Donation for an ornament for the tree is $25.

Cost for the event is $65 per person, $85 for patrons and $100 for grand patrons. Reservations may be made by calling the Easter Seals Center at (330) 743-1168. All proceeds benefit the Easter Seals Society of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties.
Carol Lumsden serves as president of the organization, and co-chairmen of the event are Susan Rupert and Elvina Tareshawty.
