XBOARDMAN -- Beth Buckley became the bride of Alfred Bondar during a 4 p.m. ceremony Oct. 4 at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park.
The Rev. Robert Quaintance officiated for the daughter of Chuck and Kathy Buckley of Boardman and the son of John and Irene Bondar of Austintown.
A reception followed at Mr. Anthony's.
The couple are living in Austintown. They plan a honeymoon trip to Cape May, N.J., at a later date.
An ivory satin gown fashioned with a scoop neckline and long lace sleeves was worn by the bride. It was accented with pearls and lace, and the full skirt flowed to a cathedral train.
Her sister, Amy Bruno, was matron of honor wearing a hunter-green gown. Bridesmaids were Melissa Bondar, the groom's daughter, and Patti Bondar, his sister-in-law, wearing plum gowns and Tina Griffith, the bride's cousin, and Julie Hunnell, who wore hunter-green gowns.
Scott Bondar performed the duties of best man for his father, and groomsmen were John Bondar, the groom's brother; Rick Bruno, the bride's brother-in-law; Mark Griffith, her cousin; and John Pasternack. The groom's nephew, James Bondar, served as an usher.
Mrs. Bondar attended Youngstown State University and is employed at American Church.
Her husband also attended YSU. He is employed at General Electric in Niles. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
