Summary of police activity:
GIRARD
Oct. 28
Criminal damaging: A Girard boy was arrested on a criminal damage charge after an employee at an IGA food store on Cherry Street said she saw him and another juvenile break her car's window.
Vandalism: A woman in the 400 block of Illinois Avenue reported a man used his vehicle to drive across her yard and her neighbor's devil strip.
Breaking and entering: A man reported someone broke into his father's car while it was parked on Main Street and stole a Sony CD Walkman device.
Criminal damaging: A woman in the 200 block of East Liberty Street reported a contractor removed a portion of sidewalk from the rear of her residence without permission.
Burglary: A man in the 60 block of Smithsonian Avenue reported the theft of a PlayStation 2 video game.
Oct. 29
Burglary: A personal computer and printer, a jacket with $350 in its pocket and a pair of work pants were stolen out of a residence in the 500 block of Park Avenue.
Theft: A man in the 1000 block of Beechwood Drive reported several checks totaling $1,580 and his checkbook were removed from his vehicle.
Oct. 30
Theft: A woman in the 100 block of South Davis Street discovered a guitar missing from a bedroom in her residence.
Theft/assault: A woman in the 400 block of Parkview Avenue reported her daughter was assaulted. The victim said her former boyfriend tossed her around in her bedroom, ransacked the room and stole her cellular phone and three pairs of jeans.

Oct. 22
Theft: A front and rear license plate were removed from a vehicle parked in the 3100 block of Belmont Avenue.
Warrant: Police arrested a 28-year-old Youngstown man at the Mahoning County Jail on an outstanding traffic warrant.
Oct. 23
Theft: A tool was stolen from an apartment in the 20 block of Trumbull Court.
Burglary: A video game system, a DVD player, a videocassette recorder and a Sony PlayStation system were stolen from an apartment in the 1700 block of Naylor-Lloyd Road.
Oct. 24
Assault: A woman in the 3000 block of Green Acres Drive reported her husband and several of his cousins assaulted her. The woman had a few scratches and a mark near her left eye.
Oct. 25
Warrants: Police arrested a 34-year-old Hubbard man on a warrant out of Campbell Municipal Court charging him with failure to appear in court to answer an assault charge and a warrant out of Struthers Municipal Court charging him with failure to appear in court to face a traffic violation and a count of failure to appear in court to answer a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Identity theft: A man in the 4000 block of Madison Avenue reported someone stole his wallet and fraudulently used his identity to open a Bank One account.
Theft: An undetermined amount of money was removed from a cash drawer at a Liberty High School concession stand, One Leopard Way.
Oct. 26
Theft by deception: A woman leaving the Liberty Plaza, 3551 Belmont Ave., reported that two women approached her claiming to have found $60,000. After the pair said they would split the money with her, the victim said they deceived her into withdrawing more than $1,000 from her account.
Theft: A pouch purse containing $70, a cellular phone and an Ohio driver's license were stolen from a vehicle in the 2700 block of Belmont Avenue.
Oct. 27
Warrant: A 34-year-old Salem man was arrested at Choices Lounge, 1620 Motor Inn Drive, on one count of failure to appear in court to face a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Oct. 28
Robbery: After a chase on Gypsy Lane, police arrested a 30-year-old Campbell man on a robbery charge after two employees at Payday Cash Advance, 3950 Belmont Ave., said he entered the business wearing a Halloween mask and demanded money.
Fraud: An employee at Soulcheck Construction, 3999 Belmont Ave., reported someone forged two checks and made $5,300 worth of fraudulent ATM withdrawals from his business account.
Theft/breaking and entering: Beef and other food products were stolen from a storage area at Arby's, 3551 Belmont Ave.
Oct. 29
Warrant: After stopping his vehicle, police arrested a 48-year-old Warren man on a contempt of court charge. He also was charged with domestic violence.
Arrests: Police arrested a 31-year-old Sharon man on one count of failure to appear in court to answer a traffic charge. They also arrested a 53-year-old Girard man at the Knights Inn, 1600 Motor Inn Drive, on a charge of failure to appear in court to face a traffic charge. Another man was arrested at Burger King, 3219 Belmont Ave., on a charge of failure to appear in court.

Oct. 23
Theft: Several items were removed from a car parked at Handyman Hardware of Hubbard, 35 S. Main St.
Oct. 26
Theft: An employee at Barkley's Bar, 548 W. Liberty St., reported his cellular phone stolen.
Oct. 27
Assault: An employee at Barkley's bar reported someone assaulted him.
Oct. 28
Auto theft: A man reported his brother's 1996 Honda Civic stolen in the 900 block of Woodland Avenue.
Oct. 30
Theft: Various groceries were stolen from Devine's Shop 'n' Save, 529 N. Main St.
Warrant: Police arrested a Hubbard woman on a charge of probation violation.
