CLEVELAND -- The Rev. Donald B. Cozzens will discuss his new book, "Sacred Silence: Denial and the Crisis in the Church," at 5 p.m. Thursday at the D.J. Lombardo Student Center at John Carroll University.
Father Cozzens, a priest in the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, is the author of the best seller "The Changing Face of the Priesthood: A Reflection on the Priest's Crisis of Soul."
Christmas concert
YOUNGSTOWN -- Tabernacle Baptist Church's evangelism ministry will present its annual pre-Christmas concert, featuring a 100-plus member community choir, at 5 p.m. Dec. 13.

Revival workshop
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Christian Education Ministry of the Triedstone Missionary Baptist Church will hold a workshop on revival at 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. The Rev. Lonnie Simon, pastor emeritus of the New Bethel Baptist Church, will be the lecturer. The Rev. G. Lampkins, pastor of the Greater Promise Baptist Church, Ashtabula, will be the evangelist.
Growth conference
YOUNGSTOWN -- Union Baptist Church will have its 6th annual Church Growth Conference from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 19 to Nov. 21. The theme is "Real Men and Women of God." The cost is $15 in advance and $20 during the week of the conference. Topics include "Being a Real Godly Man (For Men Only)," "Spiritual Gifts and Their Proper Applications," "Stewardship," "Spirit-Filled Leadership" and "The Ministry of Music."
Free seminar
HUBBARD -- Mainstay Ministries of Highlands Ranch, Colo., is sponsoring a free seminar on sermon preparation, service enhancement and Sunday participation. The event will be at First Baptist Church from 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Tuesday. The seminar is for pastors and church leaders from any denomination.

YOUNGSTOWN -- New Bethel Baptist Church will have its annual church seminar at 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. This year's theme is "Kingdom Building: Building Lives on a Solid Foundation Through Prayer and the Word."
Classes will be available for children ages 7 through 12, older youths, and adults.
