It was a hair-raising, head-shaving day
Thursday was Halloween, and there were tricks and treats galore at Joshua Dixon Elementary School, Columbiana. Left, kindergarten pupil Austin Severko, dressed as a pirate, enjoys a treat while watching prinicipal John Scardino, right, get his trick. Scardino got his head shaved to fulfill a promise to pupils for reading more than 1 million minutes. Doing the barber duties is Heidi Macklin of Columbiana, whose daughter also attends the school.
