Bioterrorism response
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Mahoning County Emergency Management Agency has received its first shipment of biological test kits to be used for training first responders.
The kits contain two types of devices for field testing possible biological agents that could be used in an attack against the United States, including ricin, cholera, anthrax and botulism.
The kits will be distributed among local health officials and hazardous materials response teams.
Other safety forces will receive them as more kits become available.
