August rite set for Miss Thayer, Nicolas Vargas

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- Audra Thayer and Nicolas Vargas, both of 3999 Via Lucero, are engaged.
The bride-to-be is a daughter of Thomas and Claire Thayer, 3935 Lake Road, Austintown. The future groom is a son of Linda Vargas, Decatur, Texas, and Cesar Vargas, Caracas, Venezuela.
Miss Thayer and Mr. Vargas are pursuing degrees at Santa Barbara City College, hers in global studies and his in marine diving technology.
The couple will be married at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 2 at the Little Chapel of the West in Las Vegas. Invitations will be issued.
