Argument in Campbell turns violent

CAMPBELL -- Damien L. Patterson, 23, and Angela M. Williams, 25, both of Monroe Street, were arraigned in municipal court Tuesday after an argument Saturday evening erupted into a fight that resulted in injuries to both.
According to police reports, Patterson threatened Williams and pushed her around. After Patterson knocked Williams down, causing her to hit her head, Williams reportedly ran to the kitchen, grabbed a knife and cut Patterson's left shoulder. He then grabbed the knife from her and cut her left forearm.
At that point, the woman fled to a neighbor's home and phoned police. Patterson was treated later at St. Elizabeth Health Center; both were transported to the city jail.
They are each charged with felonious assault; bonds were set at $2,500 each.
In addition, Patterson was ordered to stay away from Williams and her home. His preliminary hearing is set for Friday.
Williams' preliminary hearing is set for Tuesday.
