Historical home to open
CANFIELD -- The oldest remaining log home in Northeast Ohio opens for the season Saturday. Loghurst, which was built in 1805 and is now a property of the Western Reserve Historical Society, will open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday from June 1-Oct. 27. Located on U.S. Route 224, Loghurst features interactive exhibits and guided tours to give visitors an idea of life in the Western Reserve. Activities planned for the season include old-fashioned games, a new guided tour of the farmhouse, costumed re-enactors and more.
