YOUNGSTOWN -- St. Columba Cathedral provided the setting April 6 for the wedding of Jeanette Thompson and Randall Knapp, both of Columbus.
The Rev. John Keehner officiated at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Tom and Rosanne Thompson of Boardman and the son of Bob and Jane Knapp of Berlin Center.
The newlyweds received guests at Antone's Banquet Centre, Boardman, before leaving on a Caribbean cruise.
Mr. and Mrs. Knapp attended Youngstown State University and are employed by Gambro Health Care in Columbus. She is a dialysis technician, and he is an Ohio-certified dialysis technician.
The bride's white, sleeveless, Italian satin gown featured a boat neckline and chapel train. She held a prayer book also carried by her mother and her grandmother, the late Ann Salpietra, at their weddings.
The bride's cousin, Melissa Salpietra of Cincinnati, was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Kristi Masenheimer of Boardman, her cousin, and Karen Seres and Jennifer Fernberg, both of Boardman; Jessica Lepore of Poland; and Kristen Whited of Girard. Junior bridesmaids were Julianne Gabriel and Laura Salpietra of North Carolina, her cousins.
Jason Young of Berlin Center was best man. Groomsmen were Tom Thompson of Boardman, the bride's brother; Jason and Dan Knapp, both of Berlin Center, the groom's brothers; Jeff Masenheimer of Boardman, her cousin; and Jonathan Mangas of North Jackson.
