Fry anniversary marked May 5 in park gardens



BOARDMAN -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Leo W. Fry, 406 Brookfield Ave., was celebrated during a dinner party held May 5 at the D.D. and Velma Davis Education and Visitor Center in Fellows Riverside Gardens at Mill Creek Park in Youngstown.
Invitations for the festivity were issued by the couple's children, Deborah Zamary of Boardman and Jeffrey Fry and Leo W. Fry Jr., both of Austintown.
The former Marjorie Welsh and Mr. Fry were united in marriage May 10, 1952, at St. Rose Church in Girard. They have four grandchildren.
Prior to retiring, Mrs. Fry was a credit clerk with Youngstown Credit Bureau.
Mr. Fry served with the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater of Operations and was a captain with Girard Fire Department until retiring in 1990.
They are members of St. Charles Church.
