LAW
AKRON -- Atty. David J. Hrina of Canfield, a staff attorney with the law firm of Buckingham, Doolittle & amp; Burroughs LLP in Akron, has passed the United States Patent and Trademark Office Bar exam and has been approved as a registered patent attorney. Hrina joined the firm in 1999 as a member of the health law, intellectual property and business practice groups. He earned his law degree at the University of Akron School of Law and has bachelor's and master's degrees in engineering, both from Youngstown State University. Before joining the law firm, he worked for the Ohio Department of Transportation, where he was a three-time winner of its outstanding employee of the year award.
HEALTH CARE
SHARON, Pa. -- Susan J. Gibson has been named vice president for patient-care services at Sharon Regional Health System. She will serve the next few months as assistant vice president to Pat Hillebrand, current vice president for patient-care services, until Hillebrand's retirement.
Gibson attended Jameson Hospital School of Nursing and earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Slippery Rock University.
INDUSTRY
YOUNGSTOWN -- Brilex Industries, a fabricating, machining and assembly company in Youngstown, has hired Edward Crump as manager of estimating. A mechanical engineer, Crump has more than 20 years of experience in purchasing and estimating in every facet of manufacturing. He has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Youngstown State University.
BANKING
YOUNGSTOWN -- Bruce D. Hendryx has been named senior vice president of commercial banking and Mahoning Valley Market Leader by KeyCorp. As market leader, he will be the senior executive for all of Key's interests in the Mahoning Valley, and he will also oversee staff in western Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Hendryx joined KeyCorp in 2000 as a team leader and senior wealth transfer specialist in the Wealth Transfer Group. He had almost seven years of banking experience when he joined the company. A Southington resident, Hendryx has a bachelor's degree in economics, a law degree and a master's degree in business administration, all from Case Western Reserve University.
ACCOUNTING
YOUNGSTOWN -- Michael J. Gallagher has joined Hill, Barth & amp; King LLC, certified public accountants and business consultants, as marketing manager. Gallagher has a bachelor's degree in marketing management from Youngstown State University. A Girard resident, he came to the firm from Innis Maggiore Group in Canfield, where he was account supervisor.
TELEMARKETING
AKRON -- InfoCision Management Corp. has hired Timothy Nizen of Youngstown as program supervisor at the company's Uniontown call center. He has a bachelor's degree in political science and communications from Walsh University in Canton, where he was a resident adviser and a production assistant and host at the university's radio station, 88.3 FM WCAV.
