SAY WHAT
"In the beginning, the students were afraid of change. But the kids got together. The students tore down the Berlin Wall. Both sides were tired of it." -- Gerica McCrary, 17, a junior at Taylor County High School in Butler, Ga., to the Associated Press. McGrary pushed fellow students to organize an integrated prom after the school held separate proms for black and white students for 31 years.
"I have to say Sean Penn, who I kissed in 'U Turn,' was the best." -- Jennifer Lopez, when asked which of her co-stars was the best kisser, in Cosmopolitan magazine.
"This is our way of saying 'Thank you,' The girls are going to be so happy, and to see the smiles on their faces is going to be great. It's every girl's dream to go to prom, and to be like Cinderella is going to make their day." -- Claire Henry, 17, on Operation Prom Dress, to the Associated Press. Her school, the Hewitt School in Manhattan, is donating prom dresses to girls at a West Virginia high school, in part to repay some of the generosity shown to New York after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
