NILES -- A 21-year-old woman reported she was raped repeatedly after being driven around in a van early today.
The woman told police she was walking to her car in the Great East Shopping Center parking lot about 12:30 a.m. when she was grabbed, something was placed over her head and she was forced into a van.
For the next five hours, she told police, she was raped three times. She believes five men were involved.
She was dropped off at her car and received treatment at a local hospital.

Backhoe accidenttakes life of man
PULASKI, Pa. -- A man was crushed to death by a backhoe he was trying to repair.
Darrell Ellsworth Hoover, 75, of Pine Glen Road was found under the machinery by relatives at 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
Pennsylvania State Police said Hoover, who was partially disabled and walked with a cane, was preparing the backhoe for gardening and attempting to charge the battery.
Not realizing the backhoe was in gear, Hoover started it and it knocked him to the ground and ran over him, police said.
Relatives rushed him to Jameson Memorial Hospital, where he died at 5:15 p.m. of massive internal injuries, police said.
Police searchfor shoplifter
YOUNGSTOWN -- Police possibly have a license plate number for a shoplifter who ran out of Rite Aid at 2800 Mahoning Ave. Sunday afternoon.
The suspect, a medium-built white man in his 30s, with black hair and a goatee, took eight computer ink fillers worth $1,600, six electric shavers worth $100 and four pregnancy tests worth $75, according to police reports.
Man critical aftercrashing into pole
YOUNGSTOWN -- Donald DePaul, 35, of Billingsgate Avenue was in critical condition today in St. Elizabeth Health Center after crashing into a utility pole in his front yard Sunday evening.
Police had the car towed to be impounded for the accident investigation unit.
Walk to revealwildflower uses
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- There will be a 90-minute wildflower walk at the Jennings Environmental Education Center at 2 p.m. Sunday.
The Jennings staff will explore the history, uses and folklore of the season's first blooms.
Jennings is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and on weekends as scheduled.
Police to crack downon junk vehicles, trash
EAST PALESTINE -- In response to numerous complaints from city residents, police will be aggressively enforcing city ordinances that prohibit junk vehicles and the accumulation of trash on property within the city.
Chief Clyde Hoffmeister said police are urging residents to take advantage of the citywide cleanup through Saturday.
Large trash bins are available free to residents during the cleanup.
