Sobinovsky jubilee marked at open house

YOUNGSTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sobinovsky, 171 Parkgate Ave., were guests of honor during an open house held April 20 in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.
The event was held at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Dennis Evans of Poland. Also serving as hostesses and hosts were the couple's other children and spouses, Joanne and Gene Colombo of Hudson and Joseph Jr. and Christine Sobinovsky Jr. of Sacramento, Calif.
The former Violet Shasho and Mr. Sobinovsky exchanged marriage vows during a ceremony April 19, 1952, at St. Matthias Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Sobinovsky are members of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown.
Retiring in 1985, Mr. Sobinovsky was a district manager at Interstate United. He served in the U.S. Army.
The family circle includes one granddaughter.
