POLAND -- The marriage of Lisa Duckworth, 48 N. Cadillac Drive, Boardman, and Nigel Mark Higgs, 8 Partridge Lane, Bromham, Bedfordshire, England, was solemnized by Monsignor William Connell at 10 a.m. April 20 at Holy Family Church.
The couple were honored at a reception at Tippecanoe Country Club, Canfield. After a European tour, they will live in Boardman.
Duane and Florence Duckworth, 104 N. Cadillac Drive, Boardman, are parents of the bride, and the groom is a son of Tom and Joyce Higgs, 5 Grange Court, Bromham.
Crystals and sequins adorned the satin and lace bodice of the bride's princess-style gown. The skirt flowed into a cathedral train.
Champagne-colored gowns were worn by Atty. Elaine Moore, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Tami Hacon and the bride's nieces, Jocelyn and Erin Eighan. The groom's cousin, Sarah Higgs, was flower girl.
Best man was Atty. Ashley Salter, the groom's cousin, and groomsmen were Eric Duckworth, the bride's brother; Michael Eighan, her brother-in-law; and Richard Moore. Also participating was Austin Eighan, her nephew.
The bride, a pilot with Piedmont Airlines/USAirways Express out of Norfolk, Va., graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree and completed pilot training at Southeastern School of Aeronautics in Macon, Ga.
The groom, a contracts coordinator with NEO Interiors of Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, graduated from Sharnbrook College in Bedford, England, with a business degree.
