EDUCATION
YOUNGSTOWN -- Karen S. Frank, a Youngstown native, has been named the newly created position of vice president for university facilities and student housing at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Frank, a resident of Herndon, Va., has been with the university since 1987 and until recently was executive director of student services and facilities.
Frank graduated from Chaney High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University. She has managed a number of campus projects, including the full-scale renovation of several residence halls, parking reallocation after the school's merger with MedStar Health in 2000, and the redesign of the student center. She is now overseeing the Southwest Quadrangle Project, which includes a 780-bed dormitory, a 1,200 person dining hall, a new Jesuit Community residence and a parking garage.
HEALTH CARE
Cambridge Home Health Care has announced two recent promotions. Peg Bertin was promoted to district manager of its Warren, Austintown and Twinsburg offices. She has been with the company for two years and is a Poland resident. Candace Fournier was promoted from scheduling supervisor to assistant branch manager of the Warren office. A Poland resident, Fournier graduated from Poland High School and attended Youngstown State University. She also joined the company two years ago.
SALES
POLAND -- Karen Tyson of Poland recently became a consultant for Tastefully Simple, Inc., a direct sales company based in Alexandria, Minn. Consultants conduct in-home presentations of gourmet food items.
TELEMARKETING
AUSTINTOWN -- InfoCision Management Corporation has hired Lisa West of Youngstown as a personnel secretary at the company's Austintown call center. She had been employed with Astro Shapes as an administrative assistant. She attended Sinclair College, where she studied office information systems.
