60th anniversary marked by Hays at family dinner

BOARDMAN -- Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hay, 555 W. Glen Drive, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary during a family dinner April 23 at their home.
Hostess and host were Anne and Pete Briach of Boardman, Mrs. Hay's sister and brother-in-law.
The former Olga Alice Bodnar and Mr. Hay were married April 23, 1942, at St. Joseph Church in Youngstown.
Their children and spouses are Barbara and Ronald Van Sack of Branchburg, N.J.; Jean and David Bright of Dixmont, Maine; and Joseph C. Hay III of Canfield. The family circle also includes seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Hay are members of St. Dominic Church in Youngstown.
Now retired, Mrs. Hay worked in design for Plakie Toys in Boardman and as a seamstress.
Mr. Hay, who retired in 1978 after 40 years of service, was a foreman at Republic Steel Corp. in Youngstown. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
