MAHONING COUNTY Youngstown man indicted in rape case



YOUNGSTOWN -- Shajehan Haywood, 30, of Magnolia Avenue was indicted this week by a Mahoning County grand jury on three counts of rape and one count of felonious assault.
The victim, a 33-year-old city woman, told police she was driving to his father's house March 3 when he started beating her with his fists.
He eventually forced the woman to change places with him, drove her around the city's East and South sides for some four hours, stopping occasionally to beat her more and forcing her to have sex with him, police reports say.

UThomas M. Stanec, 41, Indianola Road, Youngstown; burglary, theft.
UMichelle T. Burton, 30, Ellenwood Avenue, Youngstown; attempted murder, felonious assault.
UTawayne Jett, 22, Berkley Avenue, Youngstown; aggravated cocaine trafficking.
