McGlynn's double leads Austintown to win

AUSTINTOWN -- Shannon McGlynn hit a two-run double in the top of the sixth inning to break a 4-4 tie Thursday as Austintown Fitch High defeated Warren Harding 6-4 in a Steel Valley Conference softball game.
Julie Reigrut added two hits including a double for the Falcons (9-14, 4-3 SVC).
Leigh Carlson and Stacy Wilden each had a double for Harding.
Canfield 20, Salem 6: SALEM -- Canfield scored 13 runs in the first two innings and had 27 hits in the Metro Athletic Conference game.
Elizabeth Brown and Carolyn Ross each had four hits for Canfield (10-10, 6-4 MAC) while winning pitcher Megan Turocy (8-7) and Nikki Garrett each added three hits.
Salem fell to 2-14, 0-9.
Carrollton 3, West Branch 2: CARROLLTON -- Taylor Woods had two hits in a losing effort for West Branch in a Northeastern Buckeye Conference game.
Jenn Griffith and Ellie Geiger each added singles for the Warriors (11-9, 3-6 NBC).
Hanna Tiziam went 2-for-3 for Carrollton (12-6, 4-5).
